On the morning of January 6, Wang Shaoxuan, Secretary of Ji’an Municipal Party Committee of Jiangxi Province, headed a delegation to visit and inspect the UTL New Industrial Park project. Wang Jisheng, Chairman of UTL, accompanied the reception.
The UTL New Industrial Park is an off‑site capacity‑expansion project implemented in response to the municipal government’s initiative to help established enterprises achieve new growth. Covering an area of 89 mu with a total construction area of 120,000 ㎡, construction of the project started in November 2020, and full‑scale production was launched in July 2022. Upon reaching full design capacity, the park can produce 200,000 prismatic aluminum‑case lithium‑ion batteries, 400,000 lithium‑polymer batteries and 400,000 18650 cylindrical batteries daily. It will generate an annual output value of over 5 billion RMB, and serve as a high‑end lithium‑battery industrial base covering consumer electronics, power and energy‑storage applications.

The project features the following highlights:
First, a comprehensive product portfolio. Its products cover four major fields: lithium‑ion batteries for 3C consumer electronics, batteries for Internet‑of‑Vehicles applications, batteries for wearable devices, and 18650 cylindrical power lithium‑ion batteries. With a wide range of application scenarios, the products enjoy promising market prospects.
Second, superior product performance. The manufactured batteries deliver outstanding properties including high energy density, favorable cycle performance, low self‑discharge rate, high safety and excellent environmental adaptability.
Third, a complete industrial chain. The project boasts a well‑structured full production workflow covering cell manufacturing, battery PACK assembly and relevant inspection & testing services, forming a relatively complete lithium‑ion battery production industrial chain.
Following his on‑site inspection of the UTL New Industrial Park, municipal leader Wang Shaoxuan pointed out that the energy base should further forge ahead and make new contributions to the city. Addressing the development‑related challenges raised by the base, he encouraged the team to build on existing achievements, adopt a broader vision, strengthen communication and coordination, and work together with relevant authorities to identify solutions to practical issues. Meanwhile, he required the UTL New Industrial Park to improve service quality, so as to drive and guarantee greater economic and social benefits from the industry.
